Human interpreters or AI translation?

This is now the question we are asked most often. Both approaches are legitimate, but they answer different needs.

Human interpreters remain essential whenever the content carries legal, financial or medical consequences: negotiations, shareholder meetings, European works councils, medical congresses, hearings. They understand implicit meaning, convey tone, handle a speaker's hesitations, and correct in real time what a machine would render literally.

AI real-time translation has improved considerably and makes sense when many languages must be covered on a controlled budget: internal meetings, training, factory visits, public broadcasts. It appears as subtitles on screen or on participants' smartphones.

We offer both — and above all mixed setups: human interpreters on strategic languages, AI on secondary ones.

Frequently asked questions

How much does conference interpreting cost?
The budget depends on the number of languages, the duration, whether the venue is already equipped and how many participants actually need translation. Remote or AI-based solutions cost considerably less than a full booth setup. We issue a free itemised quote within one working day.
How far in advance should I book?
Ideally four to six weeks, more for rare languages or peak season. We do however regularly handle requests at 48 hours' notice.
Why two interpreters per language?
Simultaneous interpreting demands extreme concentration. Beyond 30–45 continuous minutes, accuracy measurably declines, so interpreters swap every 20–30 minutes. One interpreter is enough for a short assignment.
Do you work outside France?
Yes — across Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg and the rest of Europe. For distant destinations we favour locally based interpreters to reduce travel costs.
